The Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) participated in the TRANSCEND Scoping and Planning Workshop, an initiative aimed at identifying implementation gaps in existing climate, transport, and biodiversity programs and policies, while also refining strategic entry points for TRANSCEND support.
The workshop provided an avenue for stakeholders to assess current efforts, identify areas requiring further strengthening, and explore opportunities for more coordinated and effective interventions. It underscored the importance of strengthening governance and fostering collaboration among government offices and partners to advance climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development.
The activity also highlighted the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro’s (PGOM) commitment to integrated and collaborative action. Other participating PGOM offices included the Provincial Agriculturist’s Office (PAGO), Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), and Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO), whose participation contributed to a more comprehensive and cross-sectoral approach to addressing climate and biodiversity concerns.
