‘Bawat isang Mindoreño marunong bumasa, magsulat at magkwenta. Kaya Mo, Kaya Ko. Ito ang Gusto Ko.”
With this concept in mind, the orientation for PARA-TEACHERS (IP Teachers) continues as they prepare to serve as educators under the Provincial Government’s Zero Illiteracy and Innumeracy Program (ZIIP).
Today, September 26, PGDH-PPESO Manager Antonio Magnaye, Jr., together with PPDO Planning Development Officer II Nikki Rose Hernandez, PPESO Admin Officer Althea P. Garcia, and Sangguniang Panlalawigan Community Affairs Assistant Lysette Balitaan, personally led the orientation for the group. This session also included a thorough review and refinement of the strategies embedded in the program’s learning modules.
A total of thirty (30) PARA-TEACHERS are set to sign their contracts as official educators under this initiative, funded by the Provincial Government.
It is worth noting that the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) strongly supports this program, as interns from their Government Internship Program (GIP) are also involved as instructors under the PGOM initiative. This program was conceptualized in line with Governor Bonz Dolor’s vision—ensuring that no Oriental Mindoreño is left behind in ignorance. Instead, everyone, especially the Indigenous communities, will rise together with the ability to read, write, and count.
