Pursuant to DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2019-72 dated 22 May 2019, the Provincial Planning and Development Office assisted in the accreditation of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and selection of representatives to the Local Special Bodies. The CSO Conference held on 8 August 2019 was attended by a total of 330 representatives from CSOs in the province who were welcomed by PA Hubbert Dolor. EnP. Lydia Muñeca S. Melgar, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator discussed the objectives of the activity while EnP. Marixie Kamille C. Feraren presented the importance of civil society participation in local governance. Board Member Michael Angelo Philipe L. Leachon discussed the guidelines for accreditation.
The CSO conference was followed by the accreditation of interested CSOs by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan from which, representatives to the Provincial Development Council, Provincial Peace and Order Council, Provincial School Board and Provincial Health Board were selected. The CSOs voted among themselves the representatives to said local special bodies on 07 September 2019 at the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Board Room with PA Hubbert Dolor as presiding officer.
