A field survey mission facilitating the evaluation on impact of project interventions and validating feasibility of the “Climate Resilient and Inclusive Green Growth: Accelerating Implementation in the Agriculture Value Chain Project” proposal for consideration by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was held from August 28 to 30, 2019. The project is an initiative of the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOrM), Climate Change Commission (CCC), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).
The three-day activity started with a kick-off meeting at the SP Board Room followed by site visitation of proposed projects ie Provincial Agri-Processing Center in Merit, Victoria, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management in Baco; Bigaan Agrarian Reform Community Organization (BARCO) Virgin Coconut Oil Processing Center in San Teodoro, Pakyas Rural Improvement Club (PARIC) Calamansi Processing Facility in Victoria, and Samahan ng mga Manggagawa sa Balatasan (SAMASABALATASAN) Seaweed Processing Center in Bulalacao; finishing off with an exit conference at San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.
