The workshop on RRDIC 2026-2028 Strategic Planning was held at Makati, Metro Manila on July 10-11, 2025. The participants of the workshop were various NGAs, CSOs, LGUs and SUCs from the MIMAROPA Region. This workshop is a crucial initiative aimed at shaping the region’s research, development, and innovation agenda for the coming years. As part of the MIMAROPA Regional Research, Development, and Innovation Committee (RRDIC), this initiative focused on aligning the efforts of government, industry, and academe to foster sustainable economic growth and inclusive innovation across the provinces of Mindoro (Occidental and Oriental), Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan. The workshop strategized on enhancing the regional innovation ecosystem, identified priority areas for capacity building, and strengthened multi-sectoral collaboration to address the specific needs of the region. This planning session is expected to set the roadmap for advancing MIMAROPA’s competitiveness and resilience through targeted research and development activities from 2026 to 2028.
