According to Malacañang Proclamation 247 from September 2, 2022, every September is designated as Development Policy Research Month (DPRM). This aims to promote and raise awareness across the country of the value of policy research in creating plans, programs, and policies for national development. The phrase “Going Green and Digital for a More Sustainable, Inclusive, and Prosperous Future for All”, or in Filipino, “Maging Makakalikasan at Digital para sa Higit na Matatag, Inklusibo, at Masaganang Kinabukasan para sa Lahat” serves as this year’s theme. This aims to emphasize the significance of achieving digital transformation and a green transition at the same time. This twofold shift is necessary for the Philippines to have a more sustainable, inclusive, and affluent future. The way to rebuild better and stronger is by using digital and ecological technologies. Going green and digital is how to build back better and stronger after COVID-19 and achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
